What your factory needs to prepare before installation
Most installation delays come not from equipment but from site readiness. The earlier these are known, the less likely the schedule slips. After the survey we provide a list specific to your factory, but in general this is what needs to be ready:
We usually run the survey with your maintenance and production teams together, because each holds different information and both are needed — one knows the utilities and the building, the other knows how production actually flows.
- Enough floor space for the line, including maintenance access around the equipment
- Building height suitable for the conveyor, ovens, and your longest hanging parts
- Adequate electrical capacity and a reachable panel position
- Gas supply or heat source for the curing oven
- Flooring and foundations able to carry the oven and booth loads
- Ventilation and exhaust matched to the booth and oven requirements
- Entry access for large equipment — often overlooked until delivery day
- Part flow in and out that connects with your existing production process
Layout: fitting the line into the space you have
Layout is where the ideal design meets the building. Columns, roof height, door positions, and existing production lines all constrain where the system can go. In many factories the final shape of the line is decided by those constraints rather than by technical preference.
What we protect is a sensible part flow: in from the loading area, through every stage without backtracking, and out at a point that connects to the next process or to packing. A layout that forces operators to move parts by hand mid-line erases much of the automation benefit you paid for.
We also leave working room for maintenance. Booths and ovens need regular cleaning and servicing, and equipment installed tight against a wall makes that job harder for years afterwards.
Installation and commissioning
Installation covers the mechanical fitting of every component — booth, curing oven, conveyor, guns and reciprocators, recovery system — along with wiring and control panel integration so that everything runs as one system.
Commissioning is the stage that determines the result. This is where the system runs with your actual parts and the powder you will genuinely use, and parameters are tuned: curing temperature and time, conveyor speed, gun voltage and distance, reciprocator motion path, and recovery settings. The right combination differs for every factory because the parts, the powder, and the quality target differ.
We treat commissioning as complete when coating results are consistent in real production, not when the equipment powers on. That distinction decides whether the line can be used for production immediately or still needs weeks of adjustment on your own.
Operator training and handover
An automated line changes the operator's job — from applying powder to monitoring and holding parameters. Our training covers running the line, performing colour changes, cleaning the booth and recovery system, recognising abnormal conditions, and first actions when something goes wrong.
The maintenance team gets additional coverage of scheduled upkeep, wear components worth stocking, and handling common faults without waiting for a technician visit. For a factory running an automated system for the first time, these sessions most determine how quickly the line reaches stable quality.
Workplace safety and compliance
A powder coating area carries specific risks: combustible powder dust, high-temperature ovens, and high-load electrical panels in one working area. Exhaust, grounding, and equipment placement are therefore not only performance questions but part of workplace safety that has to be right from installation onward.
We hold ISO 9001:2015 and SMK3 certification, and we bring those standards to the work on site — from our installation team's working procedures to making sure the handed-over system is safe for your team to operate daily. Support after handover

If capacity later needs to grow, a line installed to a sound design can be extended without dismantling what is already there — adding guns, expanding recovery, or adding an application station.

- It depends on scope and site readiness. Adding a booth and guns to an existing line is clearly faster than installing a complete line with pretreatment and ovens. The factor that most often shifts the schedule is foundation and utility readiness on the factory side. We give a specific schedule after the survey.
- Can a line be installed in a factory that is already operating?
- Yes, and this is common. Work is sequenced to keep disruption to running production as small as possible, including ordering the work and scheduling outside production hours where needed. This is covered during the survey.
- Is operator training included?
- Yes. Operator and maintenance training is part of commissioning. Your team is trained to run the line, perform colour changes, clean the booth and recovery system, and handle common faults.
- What about spare parts once the line is running?
